Meet The Team

Frank Rowe is probably best known to ISM members as Head Judge for the British Excellence in Sales Management Awards (BESMA),a role he has fulfilled since 2013. He has more than 35 years’ experience in sales, marketing and training, working in the UK and overseas for major blue-chip companies in the construction industry. Along the way he has been a sales director, a VP of marketing, and a training director. He is nothing if not well-travelled, having worked in Europe, the US, South America, South Africa, the Middle East and the Far East – and he now spends summers at his vineyard in Hungary. Now 59, for the past three years Frank has been managing director of L&D Consulting, developing training solutions for new and emerging markets and existing businesses globally. Before this, he was UK group training manager for construction materials company SIG.

Roger has been involved with the ISM since 1984 and is responsible for managing and developing ISM’s business and internal organisation. He brings a commitment to positive change and he will be seeking to further develop the quality and responsiveness of ISM’s activity, as well as providing stability and renewal in a rapidly developing enterprise. Roger has been involved with the ISM since 1984 and is responsible for managing and developing ISM’s business and internal organisation. Thomas has a proven track record of building true partner relationships through being self-motivated, tenacious, consultative in his approach combined with a strong ability to influence and communicate at board level. Having worked with an extremely varied, high level client portfolio of multinational organisations and SMEs he has a varied skill set allowing him to work across many industry sectors with a real drive to deliver tangible results and revenue growth year on year. He is passionate about partner engagement and account development.

In his role as Corporate Account Director David is responsible for the management of ISM’s Corporate Partnerships and works closely with the Education team to guide and support our centres offering ISM qualifications. David has built over ten years Sales and Account Management experience within Education/ Corporate L&D Sectors working for both FTSE 100 and SME companies. He holds significant Project Management experience within the local authority sector working for Education Business Partnerships, helping Schools and local enterprise work together to drive work related learning strategies within Secondary Education. Dave’s success in the Sales Industry has led to his passion for ensuring Sales is recognised as a true Profession and   is a career path of choice supported by the highest levels of ongoing training and development.

Adam has overall responsibility for the planning, creation and delivery of marketing strategies to support the ongoing development and growth of the ISM across all markets using data & analytics to drive engagement. Since 2002 he has worked within Membership Bodies, Insurance, Digital Marketing Agencies and Financial Services – both at home and abroad. Prior to joining ISM, he was at The Institute of Risk Management, The British Bankers Association (now U.K. Finance) and TATA amongst others.

With a global membership reach Frances holds the position of Responsible Officer, the authoritative point of contact for the government qualification regulator Ofqual. She ensures the efficient and appropriate development, delivery, certification and high quality of sales qualifications designed particularly for sales people at all stages of their careers. Prior to joining ISM, she has worked at for TNG developing and running training programmes for entrepreneurs and Whitbread PLC where she was Recruitment and Training Manager.

After completing her GCSE’s, Dionne joined the ISM as a Business Administration apprentice within the education department. Three years on – having completed her level 2 and 3 NVQ Qualifications in business administration – she is now fully employed, and working within education providing centres with support and guidance.

Rachael is the primary point of contact for all members and prospective members. She takes enquiries through a range of communication channels, updating of membership databases as well as managing the membership life-cycle including sales, payment, new member communication, member benefits and renewals. She also manages and develops membership events in the UK and abroad as required. Although based at the ISM’s London offices, her role requires regular travel to coordinate and manage member volunteers, such as regional committees.

Prior to joining the ISM she was the Membership Account Manager at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry where she developed strong working relationships with sales and marketing contacts across a wide range of sectors.

Georgia completed her A Levels in 2017 and began working with the ISM very shortly after. This is her first office job, but prior to this Georgia gained 3 years’ experience in Customer Service roles. Georgia first started the ISM to help with general admin tasks but she quickly moved into the membership department. She now has a full time role providing support and guidance to our members.

ISM Regionals

Mark has been a member of the ISM for almost 40 years, Fellow (FISM) for the last 10, and is the Chair of the Wales Committee.

Based in the Welsh capital, he commenced his career with a National organisation as part of their management team, graduating with an MEng, progressed in Global organisations with the UK, France, Germany, Holland and an American manufacturer. Personal contribution to sales exceeded 10 million per year and  worked with management and sales teams who quadrupled this figure. For the last nine years, Mark has been MD of Business Step Up, who are  Business experts, working nationally with a network of associates offering strategic and tactical support to ‘fast track’ companies for growth and profit.

Known as the Industry Guru, Mark has increased businesses T/O by 40% and in excess of 2.8 Million per annum with influencing management and sales teams to succeed. Mark is proud to be Chair for Wales, to influence, achieve recognition and offer development for all new and existing members of the ISM in Wales.

Iain has been a member of the ISM for almost 30-years and is currently a Champion of the Institute (CISM) and Chair of the Scottish Regional Committee. Based in Central Scotland, Iain has over 35 years’ experience in various MD, Corporate and SME Sales Management roles within UK and Internationally. By profession Iain studied BSc Electrical & Electronic Engineering and worked in Broadcasting before moving into Technical Sales. Experience includes establishing European Sales Operations, Management of Agent & Distribution channels and subsequently development of a multi-$M Global and Scottish based Manufacturing Operation with over 120 employees. Iain is highly passionate about the Sales Industry and is seeking to further develop the Scottish Region member involvement.

Nigel Dunand is MD and founder of Sandler Training in Birmingham. He works with successful business owners to create a culture of success.

He has built sales teams in the UK, US, Canada and Mexico by focussing on having the right people, processes, and culture. Today he is an advocate of the disruptive and counterintuitive Sandler Sales methodology. His award-winning approach to sales and stellar track record, has given him the opportunity to work with management teams and sales teams in over 100 industries. He is also invited to talk, entertain, and challenge mindsets at various business leader events, ISM webinars and is also an ISM Online Mentor

Nevil Tynemouth is a director of New Results. He has built coaching programmes for a range of organisations.

New Results provide ready-to-use coaching programmes and train leaders, managers and supervisors in high impact sales coaching.  Having been involved with the launch of Dyson and BlackBerry in the UK and having worked as part of a FTSE100 management team for nearly a decade. He has helped his customers and clients by sharing knowledge and personal experience alongside well researched, tested and highly effective training and development programmes. Delivering high impact seminars, keynote talks, training, coaching on sales and sales performance. Growing sales and developing teams and individuals are high on lots of organisation’s needs. His programmes help organisations at everything from board level to front line sales teams.
